Many feel the ambiance of the historic Cove is perfect for that special wedding celebration.

We would be happy to provide you with any or all of the wedding service, your choice of reception and/or the guest accommodations.

Weather permitting, a ceremony in our landscaped gardens overlooking the water of the Westport Pond or Upper Rideau Lake are perfect settings for your special day.

Our dining area can accommodate approximately 100 guests and your menu can be varied to meet your specific needs.

For detailed discussions and planning, we ask you to contact our wedding planner Maureen personally and/or please read the info below. It is always best to call between 10-11am or 3-4pm daily.

1. Menu information - We can offer buffets with choices such as Roast Beef, Ham, Turkey or Salmon OR a served meal of your choice. We tend to suggest buffets as it's the most expedient and desirable option for large groups. Our kitchen staff can supply specialty dishes including vegetarian, gluten free and those with food allergies such as celiac disease. We're very flexible with menus and our prices vary from $50-60 per person from November to April and $60-70 per person from May-October.

2. Music - We have access to a Trio (Piano, Bass and Drums) who perform at The Cove regularly.  The Spencer Evans Trio are highly entertaining and are capable of playing many styles for many tastes.  Spencer himself can be reached at spencer_evans@yahoo.com or 613.547.9645. Also at our disposal are DJs, a Singer/Songwriter Performer, Minstrel/Traditional Music or Pianist.

3. Our facility - In the past has comfortably accommodated approximately 100 guests and up to 180 guests using both rooms. We are situated right on the water with the Fredenburgh House overlooking the Upper Rideau Lake and the Main Inn overlooking Westport Pond so our site is an ideal location for beautiful photos and a picturesque wedding ceremony.  Our patio offers a cozy setting over a beautiful lower lawn overlooking the Westport Pond and Foley Mountain (all weather permitting). We can also hold the wedding in the Lobby of the Main Inn in the event of rain. Our lounge, dining room and lobby are all well appointed with lots of natural light and our staff is warm and helpful.  Tents may be rented for outdoor functions.

4. Bookings and deposit - We find that most interested couples prefer to visit us for a meeting and tour of our facility. At this point a deposit for payment will be made.

5. Rental fees - Our room rates are anywhere from $90 -$180 per night including full breakfast and require a 2 night minimum from June to September.

6. Extra fees - There is a $500 fee for use of the facility that includes set up, clean up, etc. Corkage fees are $15 per bottle or guests may order from our extensive wine list.

7. The event - Includes all we presently have available at The Cove i.e.: tables, chairs, glassware/foodware, dance floor, candles, etc. Any extra or different tables, chairs, linens, etc. can be rented from several rental companies at cost or the client may bring their own.

8. Ammenities - We have a wheel chair entrance ramp and we have ample parking. We also have a sauna and hot tub available to all of our guests. We also have a full service Spa located beside the Cove.  Please contact Susan Jikeli   613.273.8799  for all inquiries.  For your guests' liesure, we provide canoes, paddle boats and kayaks for guest use. As well, there are many shops and boutiques in Westport and many walking trails and sites to see in the surrounding area.
